Recently the band has
had a number of new players, especially in the cornet section! This has
enabled a much broader sound and it is good to have so many seats taken! Any
interested players are still very welcome to play with us, especially
trombonists!
We are very pleased to
welcome Peter Cornford as our new conductor, Colin returning to principal
euphonium. Thanks to Colin for all his support recently. We
have had successful and enjoyable performances in Yate, Castle
Coombe, Chipping Sodbury and Sherston.
A NEW
CONDUCTOR!
Winter 09-10
After several months of
assisting the band with conducting, Colin, who is a long standing member,
has now been appointed as our new conductor! We wish him well! We once again
are pleased to welcome new players and are always on the look out for a few
more! Thank you to our sponsors who recently have enabled us to purchase a
wide range of music for our library, a PA system, some stand lights and
further new instruments.
